My paintings are how I express a fascination with the natural world, from its sublimity to its intricate, complex and infinite beauty. There can be the most amazing details of colour and contrasting materials, often overlooked, like the intense blue lichen on a dark green rotting tree stump. Such things catch my eye and I experience something from those moments that stay with me. My paintings are a 'description' of what I visually experience and feel from these occurrences. All my paintings have a point of origin and take on an evolutionary process to become 'landscapes' and places in themselves that can suggest a fragment of something massive or minute.
